Due to a strong rainy season, recently the city of Tarauacá has been strongly affected by the waters, the Tarauacá river in the estate of Acre, Amazon – Brazil received an unprecedented amount of waters that have left the city flooded with water up to 12 meters high. 70% of the city has been taken by the waters, Tarauacá is a city that has many indigenous families in transit between their villages and the city, and many families have been left without a home and are in public shelters. There are many families that need food supply, remedies, etc.
Some families have lost their boats in the flood and are unable to return to the village and a boat for them is really essential as it helps them constantly in the indigenous land and when they need to come to the city.
